Flying Through the Air

My day first seemed dreary, now I feel reborn
Watching my daughter about to perform.
Her feat’s a treat sweeter than candy corn;
You’d thrill with her ease in the breeze.

Well, most children are cute and thought darling,
And their parents I presume are pleased.
But no one could not enthrall one quarter as well
As young Tiana* upon the schoolyard trapeze.

She flies through the air with the greatest of ease,
My daring young Tiana* on the schoolyard trapeze.
Her actions are graceful, all eyes she does please;
And her joy just sweeps you away.
