Long night, light sleep
Under the net I lay listening
Fending off mosquito attacks
Silent, weary, I turn on the radio
The national anthem blares
Outside a cock crows once
Humidity is worse than the heat
Beads of sweat roll onto the mat
Naked both in body and mind
I think of yesterday, today,
And tomorrow without you.
